Independent agency — HQ in Troy, Michigan

We place business with A-rated carriers incl. Mutual of Omaha, Americo, Aetna & Foresters

Agents local and remote, all 50 states

Your call is with a licensed producer — not a recruiting call center

What you get

Real support — not a sink-or-swim 1099 dump

We hand you the leads

Real prospects to work from day one — you build a pipeline instead of dialing your cousins and old high-school friends.

Independent, not captive

We represent dozens of A-rated carriers, so you bring families the right fit instead of pushing one overpriced product — and the book you build is yours.

Mentorship that’s hands-on

Coaching and real call reviews from people who actually sell — not a video library you grind through alone.

Licensed fast — or already licensed

New to the industry? We point you straight through licensing and train you from the first dollar. Already licensed? You can be writing business in days.

Two ways in

Wherever you’re starting from

New to insurance

No experience? Good — no bad habits.

You’ve watched people with half your work ethic get ahead because they picked the right seat. This is a licensed profession — a real credential issued by the state, not a gig. If you’re coachable, honest, and willing to follow a proven process, we’ll handle the rest.

  • We walk you to your state license, step by step
  • Scripts, training, and a mentor on your first calls
  • Leads provided, so you’re building a pipeline from week one
  • Uncapped commission — your effort sets the ceiling

Coming from a captive

You didn’t burn out. Your contract did.

If you’re grinding at a captive shop, you already know the math: one product to push, a warm market that’s long spent, and most of every sale flowing up a chain you’ll never climb. You don’t need more hustle — you need a contract that treats you like the one doing the work.

  • Quote dozens of A-rated carriers — sell what actually fits
  • Independent contract: the book you build stays yours
  • Leads provided while you rebuild your pipeline
  • Walk in licensed, be writing business in days

No smoke, no mirrors

How the money mechanics work

We won’t quote you income numbers — anyone who does is selling you. But you should never sign a 1099 contract you don’t fully understand, so here’s exactly how the machine works.

1

Commission

When you place a policy and the carrier issues it, the carrier pays a commission based on the policy’s first-year premium. As an independent agent, you’re paid at a contract level that’s in writing before you sign anything — no mystery grid, no asking your upline what you make.

2

Advances & chargebacks

Most carriers advance a large share of that first-year commission as soon as the policy is issued, instead of trickling it out monthly. The honest flip side: if a policy lapses early, part of that advance is charged back. We train you to write business that stays on the books — that’s what protects your income.

Exact commission schedules vary by carrier, product, and contract level, and are shared in writing during contracting. This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity — income is not guaranteed and depends on your effort and results.

What ramping actually looks like

Your first 90 days at United Eagles

  1. Days 1–14

    Licensed and contracted

New to the industry? You enroll in a state-approved pre-licensing course, pass your exam, and get your license — many people finish in a couple weeks of focused study. Already licensed? We skip straight ahead: your carrier contracting paperwork goes in during week one, so appointments come back while you train.

  2. Days 15–30

Train on real calls, not videos

Product training on the carriers you’ll actually quote, scripts that don’t sound like scripts, and live shadowing — you listen to experienced agents close, then they listen to you. Your first leads land here, and your mentor dials with you.

  3. Days 31–60

    Your pipeline, your rhythm

You’re working a steady flow of leads with weekly call reviews. This is where the work becomes a rhythm: dials, appointments, applications, follow-ups — and your commissions start to compound.

  4. Days 61–90

    Standing on your own

You’re running appointments solo and your referral flywheel starts turning. We sit down with your numbers, set six-month targets, and map your path — stay a full-time producer, or start building toward a team.

Every agent ramps at their own speed — this is the plan, not a promise. This is a 1099 role; income is never guaranteed and depends on your effort and results.

Straight answers

Questions before you apply

Do I need experience or a license to apply?

No experience needed — plenty of our best people started with zero industry background. You will need a state life insurance license to actually sell; if you don’t have one yet, we’ll point you through the steps to get it. Apply first, and we’ll sort the rest on a quick call.

Is this one of those MLM / pyramid things?

Fair question — parts of this industry have earned the skepticism. Here’s the difference: at United Eagles you earn by selling real, state-regulated insurance policies to families who need them — not by paying to join or buying a starter kit. There’s no fee to apply or to contract with us. Building a team is optional, and team compensation is paid by the carriers on real production, not out of recruits’ pockets. If you never recruit a soul, you can still build a full career as a producer.

Is this a salary or commission?

This is a 1099 independent-contractor role: you’re paid on commission, with the upside uncapped. To help you ramp, we provide leads — and we’ll walk through exactly how the comp works on our first call. This is not a salaried W-2 job, and income is never guaranteed; what you earn depends on your effort and results.

What does it cost to get started?

We don’t charge you anything to apply, interview, or contract with us. If you’re not licensed yet, the costs that do exist are the ones every agent in America pays: your state-approved pre-licensing course, the exam fee, and the license application — paid to the course provider and the state, never to us. We’ll point you to the course we recommend on our first call.

Do you really provide leads?

Yes. We’d rather you spend your time in front of families than guessing where the next prospect comes from, so we back newer reps with leads and ramp support instead of sending you to cold-call your friends and family.

I’m at a captive agency — can I switch?

Yes, and many independent agents started right where you are. One thing to do first: check your current contract for any non-compete or non-solicitation terms. You’re welcome to bring your skills and work ethic — just not a former company’s clients, leads, or materials. We will never ask you to do anything that breaks an agreement you signed.

Can I start part-time?

Many people start part-time while getting licensed or transitioning, then scale up as their pipeline grows. We’ll talk through what fits your situation.

Where is United Eagles based?

We’re headquartered in Troy, Michigan and licensed across all 50 states, so you can build whether you’re local or fully remote.

Compensation specifics and full agent resources are shared on our call and after contracting.

We typically reply within one business day. By submitting, you agree to be contacted about agent opportunities. This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity, not an offer of employment or a guarantee of income.
