Southeast Michigan

Serving Ann Arbor families, honestly

The University of Michigan, Michigan Medicine, and a growing research and technology corridor give Ann Arbor an unusually high concentration of households with two things: a solid group life policy through work, and a real need that group coverage doesn’t come close to meeting. Faculty, physicians, residents, and researchers routinely discover their employer coverage ends with the job and is sized to a fraction of what a family would actually need.

Ann Arbor is also one of the most international communities in the state — and coverage for visa holders, green-card holders, and foreign nationals is one of our specialties. We explain it plainly, without legal or immigration advice, and place coverage with carriers that genuinely welcome non-citizen applicants. We’re headquartered in Troy and serve Washtenaw County by phone and video.

What Ann Arbor families ask us about

Coverage built around real local needs

Beyond the group policy

University and hospital coverage is a start, not a plan. We help size the portable private policy that follows you through every career move — including out of state.

International residents welcome

H-1B, J-1, O-1, green-card holders, and other visa holders can often qualify for coverage with the right carrier. We know which ones — and what documents they’ll want.

Residents and early-career professionals

Locking a large term policy during residency or a first faculty appointment captures decades of low, level rates — the single most efficient insurance decision most professionals ever make.

Ann Arbor life insurance FAQ

Do you have an office in Ann Arbor?

Our headquarters is in Troy, Michigan — we don’t have a storefront in Ann Arbor. We serve Ann Arbor families the way most people prefer anyway: by phone and video on your schedule, with in-person appointments available at our Troy office. Everything from quote to application can be done without leaving your kitchen table.

I’m in Ann Arbor on a work visa — can I get life insurance?

Often, yes. Many carriers insure H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and other visa holders (and green-card holders even more readily) with a valid visa, a U.S. address, an SSN or ITIN, and usually a U.S. bank account. Eligibility varies by carrier, visa type, and country of origin. Our foreign-nationals pages cover the details, and we place these cases regularly. This is general information, not immigration or legal advice.

Are you licensed in Michigan?

Yes. United Eagles Financial is a licensed independent life insurance agency headquartered in Troy, regulated through the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS), and we serve families in all 50 states. We’re an agency, not a carrier — the insurance companies we represent issue the policies and pay the claims.
